Calendars define the working times—hours, days of the week, dates, and year—for the project or for a resource.
In MacProject II, each project has a primary calendar called the Project Calendar. This calendar initially specifies a standard 5-day work week, with work hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and covers the current year plus the following 2 years. You can change any of the settings.
A resource is whatever is assigned to work on a task. Most often, it is a person or group of people, but it can also be equipment or

materials. If you have resources whose working times differ from the Project Calendar’s working times, you can establish a special calendar for each one.
MacProject II always uses the Project Calendar to calculate task durations, and it uses the Project Calendar for resource durations if the resource has not been assigned another calendar.
You ordinarily set your calendars first, assign them to resources as necesary, and then assign resources to tasks.
